Andreas Pittadjis told the court on Wednesday that he was quitting due to serious disagreements with his client.
With the lawyer representing the woman at the centre of the rape case in Ayia Napa has resigned, but so far the only explanation has been that he had disagreements with his client.
The turn of events has left the woman at the mercy of public speculation, because the common consensus is that because she agreed consented to one or more who actually filmed her without permission, that she obviously did not object, but that is not necessarily the case.
We don’t know the facts, a video of the girl having sex with one or more of those boys does not make them innocent, consent can be withdrawn at any time. Therefore the video only confirms what the girl already admitted to, but what it also confirms is that those boys had zero respect for her, because they took it and shared it. As for her legal representation, we do not know the full story and basing opinion on the famous “somebody said” scenario is the worst thing to do.
We must not forget that consent may be withdrawn at ANY TIME!
One thing is for certain, there was no recording of her interview, not required by law in Cyprus, but definitely standard procedure in cases as serious as this. The girl was interviewed for hours without legal representation and signed a confession without legal representation, now this IS ILLEGAL! In Cyprus the accused must have legal representation and only if they flatly refuse and then, sign a statement declaring that they DO NOT want legal representation in front of a whiteness, can they proceed without. That did not happen in this case.
The Brit teen’s message breaks off mid-sentence minutes before her arrest!
Therefore, so far we have an illegal interview, an illegally gained confession, boys who had so little respect for the girl that they filmed her and then released the video which would be a serious offence in the UK, but at the very least, it displays what kind of people they must be.
Who were the officers who conducted this interview? Why have they not explained themselves? What will be done about their interview technique, which at best is gross negligence, but at worst, a blatant, premeditated and illegal abuse of procedure?
It’s Tuesday 30th April 2019, a friend of mine was driving through Limassol, when a car came flying out of nowhere and hit a migrant worker on a scooter, she had sent him flying.
He landed in the middle of the road, my friend ran over to check him out and he said he could not feel his legs. She called 911 and requested Police and Ambulance, but in the meantime, a passing police car stopped. The officers got out and their response?
“It looks like you can speak English and you can communicate with him, so carry on!”
Really? Who is actually supposed to be trained in CPR? In the meantime, the Police officer just stepped back and went back to his vape, when a worker from a kiosk offered a bottle of water. The Police officer said. “yes, give him some water if he wants” to which my friend said “NO! He could be injured internally and it could choke him”
The ambulance took 25 minutes to arrive, even though the hospital is about 3 minutes away!
Cyprus is experiencing the unfolding of its first serial killer, someone who actually prayed on immigrants, women who were reported as missing to the police but NOTHING was done to look in to it. Whilst they may not have prevented the death of the first, or second, or third, the figure is up to SEVEN so far, maybe, just maybe, the last one or two could have been saved, but the Police suffer from institutional apathy, arrogance and lack of respect for anyone who is not Cypriot.
I would call it racism, but it is not even about race, the minute any victim is revealed to be anything other than Cypriot, they just don’t care, even with Cypriots, they only make an effort when it is someone who they feel matters, be they influential, related or otherwise connected.
It is now time for the police to shaken up and forced to perform their duty, not just collect fines for misdemeanours!
Met officer John Wedger says he was warned he would be silenced and “thrown to the wolves” if his findings ever got out. The Independent Police Complaints Commission is probing a string of cover-up allegations by Detective Constable Wedger. He claims:
● Police chiefs pulled the plug on his inquiry which revealed scores of sex offenders living on canal barges.
● A pimp was free to groom teenage girls because a magistrate was an alleged client of one girl.
● Vice squad officers were ordered not to arrest underage prostitutes.
● Bosses made threats over his report on a London child prostitution ring involving “someone connected to the music department of the BBC”.
DC Wedger said he first saw signs of “back covering” in his role as a CID officer tracking child sex offenders in the early 2000s. He said: “I found a lot of paedophiles were going off the radar. There was a loophole in the law that allowed them to live on canal boats without being on the electoral register.”
But after identifying scores of perverts using the canal network, DC Wedger says he was taken off the job.
There is without doubt a high degree of cultural paedophilia within the circles of power in the UK, they indulge in everything from sexual perversion to ritual abuse and sadism. So many instances of abuse are overlooked, covered up and even used to set up innocent victims. There are now private hearings on matters of children who are taken in to care without the parents having any right to recourse and even THREATENED WITH IMPRISONMENT if they speak out after being legally gagged!
It is my belief that NOBODY is allowed in to a position of power unless they themselves are guilty of a heinous offence, so that the people in the shadows can hold them to ransom and control them.
This is all part of the endemic cultural cancer that is socially catastrophic, destroying the lives of innocent people by those who are for want of a better word, UNTOUCHABLE!
